After visiting Bainbridge Island, I took the ferry back to Seattle to catch my bus to Portland. Intrigued by a statement my aunt made as I got out of the car, I decided to live-tweet my experience on the ferry as though I were boarding a spaceship.
"You're boarding the biggest ship in the fleet," she said.

I notice that my communicator device battery is getting low, so I move from the front of the vessel to a charging station.

I just chatted with one of the deckhands about his experience on the boat. It's not an easy life for those who choose it, not starting out.
