Bollywood Music Videos

When I was a junior in college, I was a Community Services Advisor (CSA), which is my undergraduate institutions name for being an RA. Each of us had a different responsibility in the community – because of my experience with the Residential Student Association, I chose to work with Village Council.

Being a CSA was one of the most memorable experiences of my college career, and it stretched me in many ways. It also put me in positions where I spent time with a large variety of students from a wider variety of backgrounds than I had previously spent time with this. One of the students I worked with in Village Council made a number of us watch some of her collection of Bollywood movies, which was always a ton of fun. I remember sitting in a room full of mostly-Freshmen and experiencing a new variety of film. This was mostly post-Slumdog Millionaire.

One of the things I love about Bollywood is the random music breaks in all the movies. While watching an action-comedy movie called Dhoom, we stop for a break featuring some of the characters singing a song on the stage. It does not necessarily make sense, but it is so much fun! Enjoy below.

From another movie, Dostana, comes the song Desi Girl, featuring Priyanka Chopra. The movie is more of a romantic comedy, so the song helps the plot along a bit.

Even if it turns out to be something you do not like, it is always fun to try out a few new things every now and then. You never know what might change you, or how an experience or film or show might impact you!
