Spring is Coming

Winter has its place. The dark and cold creates a need for layers of blankets, comfortable couches and warm cider. A need for hot chocolate, DVDs and heavy jackets. Winter necessitates being inside to maintain safety from the elements. Elements I am certainly ready to be done with for now.

There is an ache in me that yearns for spring, that pains for greenery and warm temperatures and sunshine. A desire for t-shirts (or polo shirts, as the occasion requires) and sun screen and laying in the grass with a notebook. A passion for iced beverages and longer days.

Spring is coming – this Sunday time will Spring Forward and we will slowly regain both daylight and warmer weather.

I am so excited for what it brings.
