The Tulip Festival

This weekend, I saw a handful of pictures of a Tulip festival on Instagram from some local… Instagrammers. I wanted to get out there before too much rain made the tulips a bit sad, so I rented a ZipCar after work today and hit the road down to Woodburn.

I love how scenic Oregon is, and hate how low the speed-limit is. Also, I felt a bit uncomfortable, as the ZipCar was a very bright red, which is one of a handful of colors I have never wanted to drive.

Anyway, enough words, here are some pictures of the the tulips at Wooden Shoe Tulip Farms.

I love this. The tree in the foreground. Mt. Hood in the background. Classic Oregon.

This is what you see imediately upon entering the tulip field area.

This little straggler was kinda awesome. It was by itself at the end of a row of tulips. Just hangin' out, being its bad tulipy self.
