Two Portland Breweries

This week, I only made it to two breweries, because I had so many other things going on. I am hoping that next week I can increase this number pretty significantly. For the first six breweries I went to, check out this post.

7) Burnside Brewery

I went to join my friend Josh at a show featuring the hip-hop artist Shad. I arrived a bit late, right before the last performance. Josh had promised beer to anyone who came to join him, so we stopped at Burnside Brewing, across the street from the bus stop. This was an IPA and it was alright.

8) Columbia River Brewing Company

On Saturday, I took the MAX out to the Hollywood District to see the Internet Cat Video Festival at the Hollywood Theater. By the time I got there, the showing was sold out, and I did not feel like sticking around for two hours to see the next showing. So I looked up nearby breweries, and picked this one.

I went inside, sat down and asked the bartender what he recommends. "Depends on what you like." I don't really like hearing this, maybe I like lots of things and want to know what you think the best thing you make is. *sigh* I ordered an IPA and settled in with these very old Trivial Pursuit cards. When my answer rate went below 40%, I decided to call it quits on the cards, and watched whatever World Cup game was on the screen. Had a nice chat with some folks sitting and drinking nearby.
