Song Sunday – Week 51 (2013)

I had not heard Come Thou Long Expected Jesus before 2011 when LifeChurch.tv, the church I was attending at the time, did a series on Carols. Craig Groeschel went through each part of the story of Jesus book, and used Christmas Carols as a base for his messages. The promo video for the series was a part of a recording of Come Thou Long Expected Jesus the worship team did, and I just absolutely love it. The video is so perfect, and the music is soothing and calming. Just what Christmas is supposed to be. With Christmas coming up, I thought this might be the perfect time for this to be the Song Sunday song!
